So if we really believed the bad news was our greed and our inability to escape it, our requests to God would be quite significant:
1. Don't give us more than we need
2. Overlook it when we're selfish
3. Keep things that tempt us away from us.
Hmmmm...
Where have I heard a prayer like that....?
